Transport with dry ice

As of 01-07-2013 there have been some changes/adjustments in ADR 2013 concerning transport with dry ice being used as a coolant or a conditioning agent.

 

1) The vehicles need to be ventilated.

2) Each door/entrance of the vehicle should have a warning sticker or magnetic board. (min. dimensions 25 x 15 cm.)

All packaging should have a sticker saying: "dry ice coolant" or "carbon dioxide, solid, as coolant/ conditioning agent.” In the language of the country of origin and in ADR language. The UN-number is not mandatory.

The notification/indication on the documentation has to be in the language of the country of origin and in the ADR-language.
